Project R-11587

Title

Government contract: Segmentation VII: Mixing working and living where possible: defining the assignment per type area (Research)

Abstract

In this research we want to examine the mixing of working and living of companies at an area level (that transcends the business lots and surrounding lots). We want to investigate different types of business environments, with specific environmental characteristics, and investigate how living and working proceed in their current situation. We then want to study how we can reorganise living and working in order to optimize the area in a way that benefits all parties. Three case areas are envisaged, which are sufficiently similar, yet display sufficient regional diversity. The result of this research will provide tools and guidelines for mixing working and living. This includes innovative ways to mix working and living in their function and organisation. Because the same type of environment is studied several times, the conclusions can be scaled up.
