Collen Francqui Start-up Grant 2021 - 2024 Werend Boesmans (Research)

Professor Boesmans conducts research on the functioning of the enteric nervous system in the gastrointestinal tract and the so-called "brain-gut axis." This interaction between the enteric nervous system and the central nervous system plays a role in the development of neurological and mental disorders, including depression, among others.
