Team-related aspects in new venture teams. (Research)

The main goal of this research is to provide insights into team dynamics in new venture teams. More specifically, this PhD aims at understanding the extent to which new venture team members regulate their own's and others' emotions and the role of emotional display within these teams. To better understand the role of emotions in entrepreneurial teams, this PhD will tackle team emotional intelligence (EI) whilst considering key distinguishing aspects of new venture teams. The data collection in this PhD will be based upon two multi- respondent surveys in both student teams and new venture teams. For the first and second paper, data will be collected in student teams across Flanders in collaboration with VLAJO. More specifically for the second paper, a longitudinal survey will be set up. For the final papers, data will be collected through a survey in new venture teams.
