Platform for liquid and solid state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy (Research)

The project concerns the purchase of an NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) platform for in-depth materials research within the Institute for Materials Research (imo-imomec) of Hasselt University. It embraces a spectrometer for liquid NMR and a spectrometer for solid-state NMR. The focus of imo-imomec is on the development of innovative materials for energy conversion & energy storage, sustainability, sensors and healthcare, and quantum technologies. NMR spectroscopy is used for the advanced characterization of the molecular structure, interactions, dynamics and phase morphology of these new materials. The equipment is further used for civil support to (local) industry.
