Title

Cutting-edge technology: expanding research horizons with a laser capture microscope (Research)

Abstract

In order to understand the intricate workings of genes, molecules, and proteins within living organisms, researchers nowadays need to study specific tissue regions and particular types of cells. To meet this demand at our institute, we crucially need the resolving power of laser capture microscopy (LCM). This technology allows scientists to extract and study specific nuclei and cells from post-mortem tissues. With the LCM, researchers can gather highly detailed and precise information about these selected parts of the organism, enabling them to better understand complex biological systems and disease mechanisms.
