XR Innovation Fund (Research)

The XR Innovation Fund aims to increase the innovation and competitive strength of Limburg companies by encouraging them to make more use of XR technologies and provides financial support for this purpose. We motivate companies to test, improve, and ultimately apply innovative XR applications in collaboration with a knowledge institution in their business operations. The added value of XR applications is already known, but their integration with the business sector is proceeding slowly and is currently mainly limited to training and a few demos. High investment costs are often the cause of this. This project aims beyond the already established XR applications. The innovative use of XR technologies on the shop floor and increasing the ambition and better alignment of knowledge institutions with the workfloor ensures that Limburg can move up a gear in the application of XR technologies in our companies.
