Concretisation and implementation of the DigCompEdu framework in EduMa courses. (Education)

The DigCompEduMa project focuses on promoting digital competences of teacher educators in all Flemish educational master's programmes at the five universities. This is achieved by (1) further concretising and (2) effectively implementing the DigCompEdu framework in these programmes. The teacher educators are central to this project because, by strengthening their digital competences, we also strengthen the digital competences of student-teachers (second-order teaching). These student-teachers can then use their digital competences to improve their teaching practice in a targeted (group) way and expand the digital competences of their students. This multiplier effect is supported by the provision of a series of good practice examples linked to a theoretical framework, which are presented in an inspiration canvas for implementing the DigCompEdu framework in both educational and (subject) didactic training units.
