The IUMAT building on the Diepenbeek campus has been reopened. The fire brigade has inspected the entire building and declared it safe. The suspected gas leak turned out to be a false alarm and the local emergency plan has been lifted.

Title

HBM reference campaign for PFAS in adults (Research)

Abstract

In order to correctly interpret future measurement data on PFAS levels in humans in different areas of Flanders, a reliable Flemish reference is necessary. Therefore, the aim of this study is to gain a better understanding of the distribution of PFAS within the general Flemish adult population. For this study, 400 adults between 18 and 65 years of age, spread across Flanders will be selected. The participants' blood will be tested for 22 PFAS compounds.
