Project R-15600

Title

Individual Reference Intervals for Clinical Parameters (Research)

Abstract

We have developed an innovative statistical methodology to estimate individual reference intervals using limited longitudinal data, offering a personalized alternative to conventional population-based reference intervals. Traditional population reference intervals require extensive datasets and provide generalized insights, whereas our approach delivers precise, individualized information. This creates the potential for clinicians to intervene with improved accuracy and at the optimal time. In this project, the methodology will be validated using three clinical retrospective datasets. The request to perform this validation comes directly from the clinicians in our partner network, as they see this as a critical step towards demonstrating its value and facilitating its eventual implementation in clinical practice
