Project R-15734

Title

Together, bridging the Digital Implementation Gap for a New hybrid normal in Healthcare (Research)

Abstract

Digital, evidence-based innovations in health care offer themselves to meet the rise in healthcare demand and increasing staff shortages. But these digital innovations, in the form of hybrid care (i.e., the combination of "traditional" care and digital), are struggling to find their way to clinical implementation, and consequently to the patient. Through the implementation of a hybrid care pathway, in which we use digital health tools and new care processes, we show how citizens/patients, healthcare organizations and governments can benefit from the advantages of digitization, such as ease of use and comfort for patient and caregiver, reduced need for face-2-face care (lower healthcare costs and better allocation of healthcare resources), and improved health outcomes
