Project R-863

Title

Electrophysiological characterization of oligodendrocyte progenitors and effect of ischemic factors.

Abstract

This project aims on the study of the electrophysiological characterization of oligodendrocyte progenitors and effect of ischemic factors. Similar as neurons, the quantity of OPC's in the central nervous system is limited, which has a negative influence on brain recovery when there is damage to (mature) oligodendrocytes as with MS or ischemical paralysis. This project will proceed under conditions as stipulated in the present contract.

Period of project

01 January 2004 - 31 December 2007
