Title
Solar Cooking for Climate Resilience: Circular Design and Field Validation of Recycled Solar Cookers in Sub‑Saharan Africa (Research)
Abstract
This project explores sustainable, solar‑based cooking solutions as a climate‑relevant alternative to traditional cooking practices in Sub‑Saharan Africa. Building on earlier collaborative initiatives, the research focuses on the development and evaluation of solar cookers using recycled materials, with attention to performance, usability, and safety in real‑world contexts.
By integrating expertise in solar energy, materials science, and sustainability with field engagement and international collaboration, the project aims to contribute to climate mitigation and resilient energy access. The outcomes seek to support scalable, circular approaches to decentralised renewable energy solutions in regions vulnerable to climate change.
