Everyone Plays Along: Playground Chronicles from Limburg (Research)

This project aims to strengthen inclusion, participation and well-being in playgrounds across three primary schools in Limburg, with particular attention to children in socially vulnerable situations. Through observations, mapping activities and conversations with children, barriers to participation, social safety and inclusive play will be identified. Children, teachers and support professionals will subsequently co-create concrete, evidence-informed solutions. In one school, these solutions will be implemented directly, while evidence-informed funding proposals for future playground redesign will be developed for two other schools. In this way, the project aims to translate scientific knowledge into sustainable and practice-oriented improvements to inclusive school environments.
