Project R-16979

Title

StemServe: from academic to commercial platform (Research)

Abstract

A proprietary collection of human-derived dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) has been collected and developed from wisdom teeth. These cells can be differentiated in a number of cell types to be used in drug testing. DPSC-derived Schwann cells linked to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease are the first use case. In this project, several experiments are being performed to further validate the technology to strengthen the business case, industry-readiness, and intellectual property position.
