SoS Lion : Solid-state Li-ion batteries (SSLIB) for safe, integrated and high energy-density electricity storage (Research)

The SoS Lion project aims to build and study a functional all-solid state 3 dimensional thin film microbattery. Lithium ion batteries (LIB) hold more than 75% market share of rechargeable batteries mainly for portable electronics. For the near future an additional demand is expected for batteries in power tools and hybrid electric vehicles and for rechargeable microbatteries needed for microsystems.
