Project R-4861

Title

Soft-chemical synthesis routes towards 3 dimensional nano architectures for energy storage (Research)

Abstract

This research project focusses on the synthesis and characterization of lithium ion battery (LIB) positive electrodes. This includes on one hand the synthesis of new positive electrode material systems, and on the other hand the synthesis of nano structured morphologies. LIB's are the most used rechargeable batteries with a market share of more than 75%. Newly engineered high capacity electrodes are needed to better cope with the energy demands of our portable electronics.

Period of project
