FWO travel grant for a long stay at the Universität Wien (Research)

The purpose of my research stay at the Chair of Production and Operations Management of the University of Vienna is to jointly study the home care scheduling problem. Home care is the provision of healthcare and household activities to people at their homes. The home care scheduling problem deals with constructing a route and schedule for each care taker so that all clients are serviced. This problem is highly relevant since the popularity of home care services is rapidly increasing in most western countries which are facing an aging population.
