Ethnic-cultural diversity and inclusion within Flemish universities: What works?

At the end of December 2023, the results of an intensive collaboration between experts and policymakers from five Flemish universities, led by the Young Academy and the VLIR, were launched. Together, they worked on scientifically-based recommendations and evidence-based actions within the domains of education, students, staff, and research to further promote ethnic-cultural diversity and inclusion within Flemish universities. Rector Bernard Vanheusden signed the engagement statement, which will guide our efforts at UHasselt in the coming years.
