Info session reviewing skills (Mathematics and Statistics)

The Doctoral School of Sciences & Technology of UHasselt organizes different info sessions on reviewing skills, separate for each discipline. During this information session, PhD students receive more information about the publishing cycle including some tips and tricks with regards to reviewing a scientific article.

The info session for PhD students who prepare a PhD in Mathematics and Statistics will be given by Prof. Sorin Pop.

Competences

An important part of preparing for any further professional step is becoming (more) aware of the competences you have developed and/or want to develop. In the current workshop, the following competences from the UHasselt competency overview are actively dealt with:

• academic research competences:
  • information management
  • publication skills
• intellectual competences:
  • critical judgment

For whom?

• The session is open to PhD students who prepare a PhD in mathematics or statistics.

When?

• The session will take place on May 13, 2024 - 16:00-17:00.

Where?

• The session will take place at campus Diepenbeek, building D, room E139.

• Registrations are closed.
• Please cancel your registration at least one week in advance in case you cannot make it (cf. cancellation & no-show policy).
