Meet the Jury seminar: Aging & brain - 2023

We kindly invite you to join the ‘Meet the Jury’ seminar, featuring international and UHasselt-based speakers to discuss their research on aging & the brain.

This seminar will be given by:

• Prof. Barbara Ukropcova (Comenius University Bratislava, Slovak Academy of Sciences):
  • Can we slow down the processes of ageing? Molecular mechanisms of exercise effects in the brain.

• Dr. Leen Slaets (UHasselt):
  • The effects of aging on the immune system: mechanisms and therapeutic options.

• Kia Puustinen (UHasselt):
  • How does type 2 diabetes affect the metabolic profile of the brain?
