Group Purchase Laptops
For the 2026–2027 academic year, UHasselt will exceptionally not organize a group purchase of laptops.
This decision is driven by the current uncertain market conditions, characterized by shortages of key components — particularly RAM memory — and the resulting significant price increases.
As an alternative, UHasselt has established a collaboration with an external partner offering a carefully selected range of laptops with extended service options.
This approach is consistent with the method UHasselt has successfully applied for Apple MacBook devices for several years.
Apple MacBook
You can buy a Mac, iPad, iPhone... with a UHasselt student discount at procuratostore. You don't buy these at UHasselt
You can log in with your student number an matching password.
We advise to get an Applecare Plan.
Windows Laptops
You can purchase a Windows laptop from Signpost. This means you are not buying directly from UHasselt.
When placing your order, you can add insurance and/or additional warranty options..
Laptop on loan
If you are a student in a very exceptional and temporary situation which makes it impossible for you to purchase a laptop, you may be able to claim a laptop on loan from UHasselt for a certain period of time.
