PHD Projects

Within our research group, currently, six PhD students are doing research on different projects that are situated on the bridge between the world of biomedical sciences and data science. To accomplish the objectives of their PhD projects, each PhD student works on several sub-projects that together constitute their whole PhD. These sub-projects can be mainly research-focused, but also fulfill a civic role.

A high-level overview of the PhD projects currently ongoing in our research group:

Phdprojects (1) Biomedical Data Sciences

Federated artificial intelligence for multiple sclerosis patient trajectories in a real-world setting

Phdprojects (2) Biomedical Data Sciences

Harmonisation strategies for real-world multiple sclerosis data sources

Phdprojects (3) Biomedical Data Sciences

New kids on the block: Improving the care of people of people with multiple sclerosis by introducing “Radiomics” en “Epomics”

Phdprojects (4) Biomedical Data Sciences

Accelerating Open Data Integration of Real-World Health Data Silos

Phdprojects (5) Biomedical Data Sciences

Data quality of real world data (RWD) in a complex health data space

Phdprojects (6) Biomedical Data Sciences

Enhancing Prognostication in Multiple Sclerosis: Developing a Tool to Inform Expected Prognosis and Treatment Strategy using Mixed Methods
