In Maasmechelen there is a time machine, the Ecotron. It consists of 14 glass bubbles under which plants grow. Prof. dr. Natalie Beenaerts explains in a quarter of an hour how she can use the Ecotron to find out what plants will be growing on the Limburg heathland in 50 years' time. Will it still be heathland? Or will it no longer stand a chance, and will the coconuts fall out of the palm trees?
