Bart Vermang in POMblad: sustainable energy as an engine for economic growth

In the latest edition of POMblad (Spring 2026), our colleague Bart Vermang shares his vision on the future of sustainable energy in Limburg.

Together with Annelies Gorissen (POM Limburg), he discusses the ambition to provide all residents and most businesses in Limburg with sustainable energy by 2040. According to Bart, achieving this goal will require a combination of technological innovation, cross-sector collaboration and smart integration of renewable energy sources into our built environment, mobility systems and industrial processes.
