Nanotechnology Crossing Borders @ UHasselt

The 9th edition of Nanotechnology Crossing Borders focused on how materials science can address today's most pressing challenges. From forest fires to severe heatwaves: recent devastating events are reminders that an immediate reduction in CO2 emissions is urgently needed.

Our IUMAT colleagues highlighted several of these key solutions throughout the morning: Jeroen Prooth presented on the synthesis of (nano)diamonds, Anna Ermakova explored the possibilities of diamond-based quantum sensors and Dries Vandamme shared insights on carbon applications in batteries.
