Societal disruptions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, affect social and economic systems (SES). The first periods of lockdown have urged rapid and unexpected digitalisation of education worldwide, thus affecting the learning process. Furthermore, the pandemic has spurred reflection about how we educate and how education could or should look in the future. For example, (super) wicked problems - characterised by their complexity, uncertainty and urgency - call for pedagogies of preparedness, resilience and frustration tolerance. During this lecture, we will discuss future visions of education in light of resilience and sustainability.
