dr. Ashutosh Agrawal

Ashutosh Agrawal is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the group of electrochemical engineering under the supervision of Prof. M. Safari. He is currently working on solid state lithium-ion batteries. The focus of his research is to optimize and understand the interplay between electro-chemo-mechanical behavior in solid sate batteries . He holds a PhD in lithium-ion batteries from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. His PhD research involved modification of carbon materials and understanding its physical and electro-chemical properties for application as anode materials using experiments and atomistic simulations (DFT and MD). He has Master’s degree in Nanotechnology and Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering. His interests include the design, modification and optimization of electrodes and electrolytes as well as the mechanisms underlying their structure-electrochemical property relationships.
