Donato Spoltore obtained his Master degree at the Università dell'Aquila (Italy) in 2009 and Ph.D. at the Universiteit Hasselt (Belgium) in 2013. From 2014 to 2017 he has been postdoc at the TU Dresden (Germany). From 2018 till 2020 he has been research group leader of the organic solar cell (OSOL) group at the TU Dresden. Since 2021 he is postdoc, again in Hasselt, in the framework of the ERC funded project ConTROL. His research activity is centered on the fabrication, characterization and understanding of fundamental processes in organic photovoltaic, photo-detecting and light emitting devices. He co-authored more than 45 peer reviewed papers and he is co-inventor of two patents related to organic semiconductors.
