MOOC - Introduction in Transportation Sciences (Education)

By offering the preparatory programme of the master of Transportation Sciences via a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), we want the realise some key goals regarding education and internationalisation of Hasselt University and the School of Transportation Sciences - The MOOC provides a strong international profile within the field and increases the international visibility. This should lead to a higher inflow of foreign students and set up and expand international networks. - An innovative teaching method is brought into practice via the MOOC using the system of blended learning and distance learning. - The MOOC promotes knowledge development in developing countries because it is accessible worldwide without much investment. - De MOOC biedt de mogelijkheden om een betere inschatting te maken van het eigen niveau t.o.v. de moeilijkheidsgraad van de master of Transportation Sciences. -The MOOC offers the possibility to minimize the study time on campus.
