Modeling week mathematics - problem-solving-based working "in-silico" (Education)

During a modeling week, excellent students from secondary schools and Hasselt University work on a realistic problem from the business world, a governmental organization or NGO. The student teams look for a mathematical and computer simulation-based solution to these problems. Possible subjects are optimal solar panel placement, optimal occupation and deployment of trains, movements at the stock market … Contacts with the industry are obviously of vital importance here.
