Support Students' Success Opportunities through Customized Online Learning Materials (Education)
Abstract
Despite the calibration test and years of experience with the difference in prior education, it is
difficult, if not impossible, to predict an individual student's success rate in the
Industrial Sciences program. Despite the student-centered approach
and the implicit and explicit pressure of early examinations in quartile 1, large
groups of students too little use of study support offerings such as
refresher courses, accessible tutors and optional classes. The goal of this project is
to develop online materials and encourage students to use these
so that they get under steam and move on to the
higher years.
