Participatory research methods, learning and data collection in an inclusive local context in Portugal. (Research)
Abstract
This research stay at the inED Research Center aims to advance expertise in inclusive education systems andparticipatory research methodologies. In Portugal, where nearly all students attend mainstream schools, the studyexplores good practices in inclusion through school visits, interviews, and co-creative research activities involvingteachers, students, and policymakers. It focuses on developing an updated profile of the inclusive teacher, conductingcross-national comparative research on teachers' inclusive intentions, and strengthening methodological frameworksfor inclusive education. The outcomes will provide actionable policy and practice recommendations for Flanders andsupport future international collaborations and publications.
