OERDPI: (Open) education in research data management to accelerate open and responsible science policy and implementation in Higher Education Institutions (Education)

Accelerate OERDPI aims to establish open and responsible research and research data management as embedded practices across VLIRUOS and partner higher education institutes (HEI) across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. It builds a transcontinental partnership to co-create, in collaboration with VLIRUOS, a VLIRUOS policy, policy frameworks for HEI, practical policy implementation guidelines and modular multilingual training resources. OERDPI will deliver outputs via an open learning platform integrated into the VLIRUOS ecosystem for long-term sustainability. Together with VLIRUOS, OERDPI will co-develop policy, support its implementation across VLIRUOS programs, and deliver tailored training to embed open and responsible research in all projects. Key for OERDPI is the active engagement with a wide stakeholder network of academics, policy actors and citizen liaisons providing expertise and facilitating policy uptake. A diversity, equity and inclusion team ensures that regional cultural and ethical differences are integrated throughout all activities and outcomes.
