Clinical Teaching Methods Among Midwifery programs in Ethiopian Public Universities: an improvement science approach (Research)

Abstract

Background: Midwifery is a demand driven profession concerned with provision of care that contribute for reduction of maternal, neonatal and child morbidity and mortality. Objectives: To assess the status of clinical teaching methods utilization, its barriers and facilitators, and effectiveness of training intervention for improving the utilization of clinical teaching methods among midwifery educators in Ethiopian public universities, 2025-2027. Methods: This study will be conducted in 16 randomly selected Ethiopian public universities. The study will be conducted by using three study designs in the order following one after the other as scoping review, cross-sectional study design with both quantitative and qualitative approach, and quasi-experimental study respectively.
