Title

HPC Computing (Research)

Abstract

High Performance Computing (HPC) is focused on the use of massive computercapacity for the study and solvation of scientific, industrial and social problems. UHasselt became recently part of the Flemish Supercomputing Center, a new partnership between the 5 university associations in Flanders. The intention of this cooperation is that in the first phase, the partners develop their existing local accounting computers, and in a next phase will examine to what extent the existing infrastructure can be integrated with a view to developing a powerful supercomputer at the Flemish level.

Period of project
