Project R-3024

Title

phyCIGS (Research)

Abstract

The key activity of the PhyCIGS-project is the realization and understanding of a functional solar stack based on printed CIGSSe-layers and TCO's. This includes the realization of fully printed proof-of-concept CIGSSe devices and the development of a profound understanding of their behaviour. This behaviour can be fed back into the modelling of these printed cells to provide guidelines for further improvement of their performance and is the base for a prediction of realistically achievable efficiencies. The SBO-project PhyCIGS aims at setting up a dedicated infrastructure in Flanders for the processing of these kind of printed cells. More specifically, the PhyCIGS-proposal has the following objectives: - Gradual realization of the active solar cell stack. - Detailed structural and opto-electronic assessment of the device. - Detailed modelling of the solution-processed devices.
