Winners UHasselt Future Proef Award 2024

In March 2025, UHasselt held the second edition of the Future Proef Award 2024.
This award recognizes three master’s theses that either propose sustainable solutions to societal challenges or promote sustainable thinking. During the award ceremony, each laureate gave a brief presentation of their work. One of the three laureates—a duo—will go on to represent UHasselt in the Flemish final, where six master’s theses will compete for the top prize.

• • Felista Cosmas Kauki and Abdulaziz Mwandu – Masters in Statistics and Data Science
    • 'The Use of Survival Analysis for Evaluating the Performance of Solar Cookers in Africa'
    • 'Design and Statistical Analysis of Experiments to Determine the Standardized Performance of Solar Cooking Appliances'

• • Miroslawa Jablonska – Master of Laws
    • 'Balancing Act: Environmental Liability in the Realm of Insolvency Law'
