Content

When a friend asks you to explain your research topic you get lost for words, you start to notice that your body blocks and on top of that you seem to lose the interest of your friend. Sounds familiar? If so, you are invited to explore the world of pitching and public speaking during a three-day online workshop by Jelle de Wit.

The trainer will guide you into the world of Pitching & Public Speaking with a presentation & practical exercises. You will have the opportunity to give a short 7 minute pitch for the trainer and other participants of the workshop as well.

By using an 8-step framework you will be able to convince people to fall in love with your ideas. Having the knowledge of a pitching structure will furthermore deepen your presentation skills.

The workshop will be given online in the form of a Zoom- webinar. The latter will give you the opportunity to explore Pitching and Public Speaking techniques in front of a computer.

“The right word may be effective, but no word was ever as effective as a rightly timed pause.” – Mark Twain

What others say

During this public speaking seminar, we were shortly introduced to methods of how to use our bodies to give more dynamic presentations, to overcome the anxiety of presenting, and to activate a stronger speaking voice. I believe learning these skills is advantageous both for teaching and for presenting at conferences.

It was really a great experience for me to attend public speaking/Pitching training session. I learnt a lot of skills, though we only had three days. I recommend this training to my peers as well.
