One in eight animal and plant species is threatened with extinction: @ipbes_ shook up the world with that message in 2019.⁠

And it was by no means the only groundbreaking IPBES report widely cited by policy makers, scientists and media. ⁠
⁠
Led by Dr. Anne Larigauderie, the international institute put the loss in biodiversity on the political agenda. ⁠
⁠
Because of that commitment, she earned an honorary doctorate from CMK UHasselt 
⁠
