As a doctoral student

To register as a PhD student, you'll need to be admitted by UHasselt. Please check our admission requirements to learn more. 

Are you admitted? Perfect! You can finalise your registration as follows.

 

Step 1: pre-registration

Were you a student at UHasselt before? Then you can just skip this step and send a mail to studentenadministratie@uhasselt.be. If admitted, we can just re-activate your account.

If you are new to our university, we'd like you to fill out a pre-registration as we need to have a clear view on your study path.

Make sure to upload the following documents: 

  • identity card or passport
  • Official diplomas (master diploma is important!)
  • A document that proves that you can start as a PhD student (mail from your promotor or contract from the staff department).

Step 2: Final registration

One you've been admitted and your pre-registration is complete, you'll be enrolled automatically. Shortly after your final registration, you'll receive a mail with information on how to activate your student account. That means that there is only need for an appointment in case you have questions.
