Erasmus+ is the EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport for the 2021-2027 period. Its general objective is to foster lifelong learning by enhancing the educational, professional, and personal development of individuals both within Europe and beyond. The European Commission has published the Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2026 and implements the following Actions for Higher Education:
Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals
Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) supports the internationalisation of higher education through funding for student and staff mobility. KA1 enables study exchanges, traineeships, teaching assignments, and professional development abroad, contributing to global skills development and strengthening UHasselt’s international cooperation.
Key Action 2: Cooperation among organisations and institutions
Focused on strengthening cooperation, innovation, and knowledge exchange, this Action provides funding for projects in cooperation with other universities, organisations,... Specifically, it supports the following:
Jean Monnet Actions
The Jean Monnet actions contribute to spreading knowledge about the European Union integration matters. This action supports:
