What?

The CHIST-ERA Call ORD, to be published by the end of July or beginning of August 2022, targets R&D projects in the following topic: Open & Re-usable Research Data & Software

This call tackles the challenge of open research data and software from the perspective of their possible reuse. The objective is to create the conditions for research in any domain based on open or shared data and software.

While CHIST-ERA is primarily focused on ICT, this call addresses any research domain: within, at the interface or outside ICT.

Applicants are encouraged to start discussing projects with prospective patners. The call will require that projects are submitted by international consortia with minimum of three eligible and independent
partners requesting funding to organisations in the the call from at least three different participating countries. Additional partners from other countries may be part of a consortium if they can secure their
own funding. The list of countries and funding organisations, which have shown preliminary interest in participating in the Call ORD, is provided in annex.

For Flanders, FWO is participating in this call. FWO will fund a maximum of two projects, eacht with a budget of maximum €175.000.

Tentative start date for accepted projects is September 2023.
