What?

The incentive fund Sabbatical EURECA-PRO wants to facilitate and encourage long-term (2 to 6 months) outgoing mobility within the framework of research and innovation cooperation to EURECA-PRO partner universities:

• Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria);
• Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany);
• Technical University of Crete (Greece);
• Universidad de León (Spain);
• Silesian University of Technology (Poland);
• University of Petrosani (Romania);
• University of Applied Sciences Mittweida (Germany);
• Université de Lorraine (France);
• Hasselt University (Belgium)

Budget to be requested:
Maximum requestable amount of:

• Research activities: max. € 500 per month in the context of demonstrable research and innovation activities at the partner university(s)
• Travel expenses: max. € 500
• Daily allowance: max. € 1,650/month or € 53.22/day
• Family allowance (demonstrable costs for accompanying family members in connection with outgoing mobility**): max. € 500/month, only available for stays of at least 1 month.
  ** Different arrangements can be considered by mutual agreement.

Travel and accommodation expenses must be in line with the UHasselt travel policy.

The sabbatical leave operating allowance cannot be used to replace the applicant.

Who?

From Associate professor with minimum appointment of 60%.

Application?

Submit application form to eureca-pro@uhasselt.be, including a motivated proposal of max. 1 A4 page to the chairman of the Research Council . This motivation shows how the sabbatical leave contributes to stimulating research and/or innovation within the EURECA-PRO cooperation.

Deadline: the call is continuously open but the current eligibility criteria are valid until 31.03.2023. Please note that the eligibility criteria and available budgets per type of programme are subject to changes at the beginning of each quarter.

• explanation R&I cooperation (max. 1 A4)
• period of stay
• if applicable: related lighthouse
• requested budget broken down by research activity, travel expenses, daily and, if applicable, family allowance
• approval from the capacity group

Allocation based on meeting the criteria and first come, first serve.
