French Embassy in Belgium - Mobility scholarships for research (BE>FR) in the field of Global Health

What?

The French Embassy in Belgium has launched a call for applications for a scholarship program in the field of Global Health. It finances research stays from Belgium to France.

The research visit will have to be conducted with the aim of developing a new cooperation between a French and a Belgian laboratory in the field of Global Health. Particular attention will be paid to projects that have a European focus and which aim at preparing an application for European funds (Horizon Europe, etc.).

The research mission must imperatively be conducted before December 31, 2021.

During their stay in France, the grant-holder from the Belgian laboratory will benefit from the following advantages:

• Grant for a one-month stay

            € 1.704 for PhD students, postdocs, and young researchers
            € 2.055 for postdocs, and confirmed researchers (PhD + 5 years experience)

• Access to accommodation at a preferential rate
• Health insurance

Travel costs between Belgium and France are not covered by the Embassy. However, the transfer between Paris and the provincial town of the research stay is covered by the French government grant.

Who?

The research visit will offer to a PhD student, to a post-doc student, or to a researcher of the Belgian partner the possibility of spending one month in the laboratory of the French partner.

Application?

Applications will be examined on the basis of the following documents:

• Presentation of the objectives and the programme of the research visit (maximum 1 page)
• Candidate's CV (1 page)
• CV of the professor of the French laboratory hosting the candidate
• Invitation letter from the director of the French laboratory
• Recommendation letter from the director of the Belgian laboratory

These documents have to be sent to the French Embassy in Belgium at the following addresses: mael.le-bail@diplomatie.gouv.fr and victorine.hugot@diplomatie.gouv.fr.

There is no deadline for this call: applications will be processed on a rolling basis until the available funds are exhausted.
