Prof. dr. Jean-Pierre Segers holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Management from the Université de Liège (HEC-ULg, Belgium). He is visiting professor of innovation management at Hasselt University (Belgium), a former visiting professor at Riga Technical University (Latvia) and expert of the Latvian Council of Science. He is affiliated with Université de Liège (HEC Management School; CEPE). He is the honorary dean of business from PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where is also founded StudentStartUP.
Jean-Pierre Segers is the co-founder/co-director of Brains & Trees. He holds the Certified Facilitator of Training certification, as well as IFMA’s Facility Management Professional™ and Sustainability Facility Professional™ credentials.
Jean-Pierre Segers (co-)authored numerous scientific journal papers, book chapters and conference proceedings, next to delivering keynotes and international conference presentations. He also attended a number of PhD defense committees. His industry and research interests include facility management, sustainability, (open) innovation, business models, new technologies, healthcare innovation and biopharma.
Regular guest lectures at VUB, ULB (I3H & Solvay), ULg on innovation, biopharma, health economics and entrepreneurship.
