The doctoral schools provide support for early-career researchers: by organizing training and coaching, by encouraging and enabling PhD students and postdocs to take their professional development and their career into their own hands, by bringing them together and by strengthening their international orientation.

Interuniversity course offer for young researchers
The doctoral schools of Hasselt University partner with the other four Flemish universities which results in an interuniversity course offer open for young researchers of the five partner universities.

Competency framework
An important part of preparing for any further professional step is becoming (more) aware of the competences you have developed and/or want to develop further.
Mentoring
The mentoring programme is aimed at supporting (post)doctoral researchers in their further career development. It is a one-on-one interaction between an experienced mentor and a less experienced mentee.
