Welcome to Hasselt University! On this page you'll find all necessary steps to guide you through our registration process.
Follow our application process as a first step to be admitted to one of our study programmes.
After you've been admitted to the study programme of your choice, you'll have to pay the tuition fee.
To finalise your registration, you'll need to book an appointment with a staff member of the student administration.
International students have to finalise their registration on campus, except for DL students.
All on campus appointments will take place at UHasselt, campus Diepenbeek - Agoralaan, building D. Location and accessibility campus Diepenbeek.
This is required if you wish to finalise your registration online or on campus.
Online appointments are only for distance learning students or PhD.
Make sure you select the correct campus to book an appointment.
Exchange students don't need to make an appointment and can stop by the student desk.

Bring your letter of admission to your appointment.
International students receive payment instructions the moment they are admitted.
Non-EEA students can finalise their registration only after receipt of payment.

At the start of each semester an orientation programme is organised for international students.
You will receive useful information on anything from Belgian culture to administrative procedures within the university. The orientation programme further offers the opportunity for you to meet other (international) students.
Be sure to arrive in Belgium before the start of the orientation programme and before the start of the academic year.
