Student card
Wanneer je definitief bent ingeschreven aan UHasselt, krijg je een persoonlijke studentenkaart die je gedurende je hele studieloopbaan aan UHasselt blijft behouden. Je studentenkaart is niet alleen een kortingskaart maar ook je kopiekaart en betaalkaart in het UHasselt restaurant, na het storten van geld op je rekening. Je hebt je studentenkaart ook nodig tijdens het afleggen van de examens.

How to get your student card
First and foremost you'll need a photo of yourself that meets the following requirements:
- light or neutral background;
- recognasibly you;
- facing the camera;
- measurements: width 35mm x height 45mm;
- JPG or PNG format.
Then, upload your photo:
- Go to the student portal.
- Click on "upload documents".
- Choose photo in the document type.
- Click the upload button.
- Select your picture.
Picture well received? Then we'll print it out for you!
Students that have been registered online before the start of the academic year will receive their students cards via post on their Belgian address.
Otherwise, you can come by our student desk in Hasselt and Diepenbeek.

What to do with your student card
Exams
During exams, we use your student card to identify you. Therefore it's mandatory to bring it with you for every evaluation.
Opening new doors
Literally, cause the bar code on your student card grants you access to the campus library as well as the lockers.
Pay with PingPing
PingPing is the online payment system on your card. You can put money on it in order to print on campus or to pay in our student restaurant. Good to know: use your student card to pay in our student restaurants and you'll get an automatic discount!

Discounts
Besides discounts in our student restaurant, you'll also get discounts outside of campus. Go to the movies at a student rate or keep your eyes open for student discounts at hair salons, restaurants, ...
Do make sure that you have a sticker of the current academic year on the backside your student card. If you don't have one yet, you can come by our student desk.

That happens!
Come by our student desk. Maybe someone has already found it. If not, you can get a new one at the cost of €10,00. You can pay online or via a terminal. Also make sure to bring your ID.

In case your wallet was stolen, you can fill out a form at the police station. Bring that to the student desk and we'll print a new one for you, free of charge.
