Introduction to Anonymization and Pseudonymization | Dec 2025

11 December 2025
(2h)
campus Diepenbeek

Content

This interactive workshop introduces basic techniques and tools for protecting (personal) sensitive data. The first part will explain the differences between fully-identifiable data and anonymous and pseudonymized data. Subjects like techniques, tools, and the protection model (K-anonymity, L-diversity, T-closeness) will be handled.

LEGO figures will be used to explain the concept of anonymization. After all, who doesn’t like LEGO? It brings a touch of nostalgia and makes complex ideas easier (and more fun) to understand.

This session is designed to be practical, engaging, and immediately applicable to your research projects.
