Research database management and data-analysis

The cel information management and strategic data-analysis (IDA) is part of the Directorate of Research, Library and Internationalisation of Hasselt University. Meet the IDA team.

The IDA team is active in 5 domains:

Information management and databases

The IDA team is responsible for the management, development and optimisation of internal research databases and administrative processes. In addition, this team focuses on the completeness and the quality control of the data in these databases.

This all with the intention to:

  • be able to comply with reporting requirements
  • be able to use the registered data optimally and efficiently for data analysis
  • reduce the administrative burden on researchers and administrative staff

Data-analysis & reporting

The IDA team collects and analyses all kinds of research-related data (e.g. publications, projects, PhDs, datasets, etc.) that are needed for monitoring and evaluation purposes and for policy-making. The team also collects and validates data in the context of (government) reporting, funding allocation models and university rankings.
